Former Telemundo Communications Group Inc. marketing and sales chief Stephen
Levin has joined M3 Alliance Consulting, a new Los Angeles consultancy
specializing in Latino business and media building.
Colgate-Palmolive Co., Nestlé S.A., The Kroger Co. and Albertson's Inc. are
among M3's initial clients.
Two production companies focusing on Latino programming -- Galan
Entertainment and Rolling Art Television -- will also tap the firm's
M3's main purpose, described by principal founder Robert Orci, is to help
U.S. companies organize Hispanic outreach and media participation.
"We started with the intention of giving senior corporate management a
strategic resource to evaluate the bottom-line impact of nearly 40 million
Hispanic Americans," Orci said through a prepared statement.
Before forming M3, Orci was president of La Agencia de Orci & Asociados,
the fourth-largest U.S. Latino-focused advertising agency.
Other venture participants include Maria Hayes-Bautista, associate director
at the Center for the Study of Latino Health and Culture (based at the
University of California at Los Angeles), and former The Walt Disney Co. senior
vice president William Wilkinson.
