Exercise TV Elevates Mansolillo To President

Video-on-demand service Exercise TV has promoted Chris Mansolillo to president.

Mansolillo, who had been serving as general manager, is responsible for setting its strategy and overseeing the day-to-day operations, programming, production and marketing of the Comcast-operated property.

Mansolillo joined ExerciseTV in March 2006 from Warner Bros. television group, and has since created a revenue model for the service with seven different revenue streams, including VOD ad sales, DVD retail store distribution, online DVD and video download sales, a video subscription program and additional online commerce initiatives. The results have been solid growth in 2009 supported by a 17% boost in Average viewership rose 17% to 6.5 monthly views per month over 2008 levels. Growth has contineud this year, with an average of over 7.0 million views a month, according to network officials.

Founded by Jake Steinfeld of Body by Jake fame, ExerciseTV is available in 38 million homes as free video-on-demand platform through Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, Bresnan Communications, Verizon FIOS and AT&T. At www.ExerciseTV.tv, users will find fitness videos, workout plans and healthy lifestyle and exercise tips. ExerciseTV is managed by Comcast with New Balance Athletic Shoe, Inc., and Time Warner Cable acting as additional equity partners.
