New York -- CBS Eye on People is revamping its weeknight
schedule effective Aug. 17, introducing strips of half-hour shows that will include two
new series, officials said last week.
Eye on People, a CBS Cable service, will strip shows from 6
p.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Friday. The two new series that will be added to its
schedule are P.S., anchored by Paula Zahn, which will profile people whose lives
have taken unexpected turns; and Scandal!, anchored by Richard Schlesinger, which
will offer new perspectives on people involved in notorious scandals.
Eye on People's primetime lineup will also include
four renewed half-hour series: The Best of Us, Travels with Harry, I
Witness and The Things People Do. Those shows will join the network's two
nightly one-hour series, Against the Law and 60 Minutes More.
With the changes, Eye on People's entire weeknight
slate will be devoted to original, unduplicated programming Monday through Friday.
In addition to retooling its schedule, the network renewed
three weekly one-hour series: I Remember, Signature and CBS Classics,
the latter of which will get CBS correspondent Morely Safer as its new anchor.
