The Federal Communications Commission will vote on AT&T’s proposed takeover of BellSouth Friday, AP reported.
The commission originally had the vote scheduled for its Thursday meeting.
The Department of Justice approved the transaction Wednesday.
“We are committed to evaluating merger applications fairly and in a manner consistent with the public interest," FCC spokesman Clyde Ensslin told AP Wednesday night. "We are continuing to work to complete our AT&T and BellSouth merger review in a timely manner.”
