Feherty To Tee Off Weekly Interview Show On Golf Channel

Golf Channel has signed David Feherty to host a weekly primetime show and be a contributor to should programming around tournament coverage.
A 14-year veteran of CBS Sports, Feherty will bring his wit to the primetime series bearing his moniker. Already in production, Feherty, featuring the host interviewing personalities from inside and outside the links, as well as telling tales and anecdotes, is scheduled to tee off on June 20, following the playing of the U.S. Open at Congressional, near the nation's capitol.
Feherty is the first original Golf Channel series created since the network became a member of the NBC Sports Group following the finalization of Comcast-NBCUniversal transaction in January. The network's initial order is for 12 installments.
As part of his new relationship with the service, Feherty also will serve as a contributing analyst during Golf's Live From coverage, surrounding the sport's biggest events.
"This show is something I've always wanted to do, and I'm glad it's found a home at Golf Channel," Feherty said in a statement. "I'm really overjoyed, so much so that I may have to cheer down, rather than up. I think I'm tri-polar."
