Fine Living Heads to Canada

Two years after its Stateside launch, Fine Living will be exported to Canada.

Scripps Networks, in conjunction with Alliance Atlantis Communications Inc., will launch the lifestyle network Sept. 3 in that nation, where it will join sister services Food Network and Home & Garden Television.
Scripps and Alliance are partners in the networks north of the border, with the U.S. programming holding a minority stake in the services.
The parties said Fine Living will bow before 1 million Canadian households through a lengthy free-preview period on Shaw Communications Inc.’s digital cable package and satellite service Starchoice.
Additional distribution details were not available at press time.
