Scripps Networks launched Fine Living Monday, but executives were coy about
who could actually see the lifestyle channel.
Time Warner Cable committed to distribute Fine Living to 5 million homes, but
it will be turned on in selected systems in three-month increments.
Systems launching in 2002 include Cincinnati; Palm Springs, Calif.; San Diego;
Milwaukee; and Dayton, Ohio.
RCN Corp. agreed to launch the network sometime this year.
Fine Living president Ken Solomon wouldn't name the network's 24 advertisers,
but viewers Monday saw ads for The Coca-Cola Co., The Prudential Insurance Co.
of America and BMW of North America LLC.
