FiOS Adds ESPN Nets To Mobile App

Verizon released an update for its Verizon FiOS Mobile app that includes streaming of ESPN networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNEWS, ESPN U and ESPN Deportes) on mobile devices, the addition of Univision Deportes and some enhancements of its TV listings feature. (Update: a FiOS spokesman said the Univision Deportes app release was being held off while a glitch was being resolved.)

FiOS has recently been promoting on its own air the mobile app, along with plugs to buy its new Quantum TV whole-home DVR service. And rival (in the New York City area) Cablevision Systems recently enhanced its Optimum App by adding out-of-home viewing of some channels.
