Fischer Heads Time Warner Cable Ad Sales


Larry Fischer Monday was appointed the second president of ad sales at Time
Warner Cable in less than one year.

Fischer last June rose from president of Time Warner CityCable -- the
ad-sales operation for the MSO's New York system and its New York 1 News network
-- to the new post of executive vice president of operations under the MSO's
first president of ad sales, Robert Sherman, who recently joined parent company
AOL Time Warner Inc.

Before Sherman, Larry Zipin had headed the MSO's sales operations for 10
years as VP of ad sales. He became VP of ad-sales strategic planning last

Fischer, who reports to Time Warner Cable vice chairman John Billock, first
joined Time Warner Cable in 1988. Prior to that, he was executive VP at Spencer
Sports Media.
