NEW YORK -Gastronomic programmer Food Network last week said it would partner with cable affiliates for a "Chef for a Year" sweepstakes this spring.
The contest, to run from March 19 through April 9, offers one winner a catered, in-home meal once a week for a year. Other prizes include cappuccino makers and microwave ovens by De Longhi Kitchen Essentials, as well as cookbooks by celebrity chefs Wolfgang Puck and Jamie Oliver.
Sponsors include Nabisco's Ritz Crackers, AT&T One Rate International Plan, Sargento Cheese, Ramada, Dr. Scholl's, Disney Cruise Line and De Longhi.
Entries will be made available at www.foodtv.com, through affiliated cable systems' local offices and via retailers.
