Food Eyes Side of Licensees

United Media and Food Network announced Monday that the former will work with
its cable-network sibling under E.W. Scripps Co. to pursue licensees.

The announcement came the day before the annual Licensing International show,
due June 10-12 at New York's Jacob K. Javits Center.

United Media senior vice president of domestic licensing Joshu Kislevitz said
in a prepared statement that the company will seek product spinoffs in such
merchandise categories as publishing, toys and games and housewares.

Last week, Food announced a cookbook deal with Meredith Corp.'s Meredith
Books.
