Food, Roker Take On Childhood Obesity

Food Network and Al Roker Entertainment collaborated on hour-long special documentary Childhood Obesity: Danger Zone.

The Scripps Networks-owned service said the special “examines the personal battles being waged by families across the country to change the way they eat and examines how parents, teachers, physicians and public officials are leading the charge to fight what could be the silent killer of a new generation.”

Food added that the U.S. Surgeon General said childhood obesity affects more than 12 million children and teen-agers.
