Former Time Warner Cable Exec To Lead Nielsen Digital Media

Bruce Haymes, formerly Time Warner Cable’s corporate vice president of business affairs, has joined Nielsen to lead Nielsen Digital Media Manager, a new service that will enable companies to monitor, manage and profit from the distribution of traditional media content on the Internet.

As senior vice president, product for digital media, Haymes will be responsible for all aspects of the Nielsen Digital Media Manager, including developing strategy and marketing plans, integrating existing Nielsen assets and technical expertise, and implementing a rollout across all media segments.

Haymes also will oversee the company’s relationship with Digimarc in the development of Nielsen’s offering. 

Nielsen announced its Digital Media Manager service in December, and the company expects to launch a commercial version by mid-year.

Prior to Time Warner Cable, Haymes held several leadership roles for PanAmSat,   including senior vice president, corporate and strategic development; leader PanAmSat New Ventures; and vice president, associate general counsel.  Before PanAmSat, he worked as an attorney for several law firms in New York including Chadbourne & Parke LLP and Morrison & Foerster LLP.

He earned a BA in Economics from Tufts University and his law degree from George Washington University National Law Center.
