Four Journalists Slain in Afghanistan

Four journalists were killed Monday after their convoy was attacked in
Afghanistan, Italian foreign minister Renato Ruggiero said, according to
Reuters.

Those killed were Reuters television cameraman Harry Burton, Reuters
photographer Azizullah Haidari, Julio Fuentes from Spain's El Mundo
newspaper and Maria Grazia from the Corriere della Sera newspaper in
Italy, Reuters reported.

Reuters cameramen provide video to news outlets worldwide, including the U.S.
all-news networks.

Cable News Network reported that a fifth, unidentified journalist might be
missing after the convoy was attacked.

The journalists were part of a convoy of six to eight vehicles traveling from
Pakistan to Kabul, Afghanistan, which was stopped by armed gunmen, Reuters
reported.
