Fox Business Network, set to launch on Oct. 31 in some 31 million homes, has added a reporting pair in Washington
Rich Edson joins from Reuters, where he was a freelance reporter based in Washington covering international news. Prior to joining Reuters, Edson was a government reporter for Piedmont Television’s WTGS-TV, a Fox affiliate and WJCL-TV’s ABC affiliate in Savannah, Ga.
Shapiro was previously an anchor and reporter for WNBC-TV in New York. Prior to WNBC, Shapiro served as the anchor for Good Morning Cleveland and Live on Five on WEWS-TV (ABC) in Cleveland. From 1997 to 1988, he was a correspondent for Fox News Channel in Chicago, where he also contributed to Fox affiliate WFLD-TV and CBS affiliate WBBM-TV.
“We are pleased to welcome two new reporters to FBN to contribute to our coverage of Capitol Hill and other national business topics,” said Bruce Becker, vice president and Washington bureau chief for the network, in a statement.
