Talks between Fox and Cablevision broke off on Sunday, Oct. 17, without much progress, according to Fox.
"The parties had several discussions again today but no material progress was made and we continue to remain far apart," said Fox in a statement, adding: "However, both sides agreed to continue talking tomorrow."
Cablevision confirmed the talks are done and are expected to resume tomorrow. "The longer this shameful News Corp. blackout of the NFL and Major League Baseball continues," the company said, "the more obvious it becomes to everyone, including political leaders of both parties, that binding arbitration is the fastest and fairest way to return Fox programming to Cablevision customers."
Fox stations in New York and Philly have been off Cablevision systems since midnight Oct. 16.
