Fox Sports Net launched its three digital regional sports networks in two
Charter Communications Inc. systems.
Initially named Fox Digital Gold, the three networks -- Fox Sports Atlantic,
Fox Sports Central and Fox Sports Pacific -- offer the combined local feeds of
Fox's 23 regional sports networks.
Fox Cable Networks Group executive vice president of affiliate sales and
marketing Lindsay Gardner said he hopes to have the services in 2 million homes
within one year.
Fox's rate card for the service -- cable's alternative to DirecTV Inc.'s
multichannel-sports offerings -- is less than 50 cents per subscriber, he
added.
