Fox Networks Group added two new faces to its business-development group.
Jack Kennedy was named senior vice president of corporate development and Sarah Harden was named senior VP of business development.
Based in Los Angeles, both will report to executive VP of business development and strategy Michael Lang.
“This is an exciting time in the media business as opportunities to create new ventures, innovative business models and entirely new ways of thinking seem to be around every corner,” Lang said in a prepared statement. “We’re fortunate to have Jack and Sarah on-board to help navigate through these opportunities and develop long-term strategies, together with other executives throughout the broader organization.”
Kennedy spent the last five years as an independent management consultant, developing corporate strategies, comprehensive business plans and financial models for a variety of media and business clients. Prior to that, he was CEO at Load Media and strategic advisor to the CEO of Teledesic.
In his new role, Kennedy will be responsible for working with both in-house and external parties to identify and negotiate potential acquisitions, joint ventures and other strategic opportunities.
Harden comes to Fox Cable Networks from Ascent Media Group, where she was VP of strategic development. In that role, she managed Ascent’s Captive Audience Networks business unit, as well as several strategic growth initiatives. Prior to Ascent, she was VP of business development for Linkscape Software.
In her new role, Harden will help to identify and develop new strategic initiatives within Fox Cable Networks and its 32 major programming services. This includes nonlinear/broadband distribution and brand extensions, content relationships, strategic investments and potential acquisitions and JVs.
