Fox News Channel dominated the second quarter's all-news ratings battle.
Its 0.6 total-day rating and average of 514,000 households gave it the
ratings crown for a second consecutive quarter. Cable News Network placed second
with a 0.5 rating and 428,000 households.
Fox News jumped 141 percent from the same time last year, while CNN was up 67
CNN placed third in the total-day category with a 0.3 rating, followed by
CNBC and CNN Headline News, which averaged a 0.2.
A 1.1 average gave Fox News first place in primetime. It was followed by CNN
(0.8), MSNBC (0.4) and Headline and CNBC (both at 0.2).
