Fox News Continues Strong Spring Cable Ratings Run

Fox News was the most watched cable network in primetime and total day last week as it continues to build on its first quarter ratings performance.

Fox News averaged 2.4 million viewers in primetime during the week of April 8-April 14 to top all viewers, according to Nielsen. MSNBC was second with 1.6 million, followed by HGTV and USA Network with 1.1 million viewers each. TBS and Hallmark Channel rounded out the top five with 1 million viewers each, according to Nielsen.

On a total day basis, Fox News was tops for the 14th straight week, averaging 1.3 million viewers. MSNBC (899,000), Nickelodeon (682,000), Investigation Discovery (680,000) and HGTV (675,000) followed closely behind, according to Nielsen.
