Fox News continued its strong summer ratings showing, finishing as the most watched cable network last week both in primetime and total day, according to Nielsen.
Fox News averaged 2.3 million viewers for the week of June 3 to June 9 to beat out all networks for the second week in June, said Nielsen. MSNBC finished second with 1.5 million viewers, followed by HGTV (1.2 million), and USA, History and TNT (tied with 1 million viewers).
Hallmark Channel -- on the strength of the June 9 fifth season premiere of its original drama series Good Witch -- along with A&E Network (955,000), TBS (915,000) and TLC (912,000) rounded out the top 10 most watched networks in primetime.
Fox News won the total day ratings race for the 22nd consecutive week with 1.3 million viewers, followed by MSNBC (869,000 viewers), Nickelodeon (741,000), HGTV (696,000) and Investigation Discovery (652,000), said Nielsen.
