Fox News continued its domination of the cable summer ratings charts as it won its third consecutive weekly ratings race.
Fox News averaged 2.1 million viewers for the week of Aug. 15 to Aug 21 to easily best USA Network’s 1.3 million and win its 10th of 12 summer weekly ratings races with one week left in the Summer ratings period, according to Nielsen.
HGTV, History and TBS all finished tied for third with 1.2 million viewers, followed by a tie between Disney Channel and TNT with 1.1 million watchers. Olympics-skewed MSNBC and NBCSN both averaged 1 million viewers, while Adult Swim drew 929,000 viewers to round out the top 10.
Fox News and Nickelodeon tied for top honors on a 24-hour basis with 1.2 million viewers each, followed by Adult Swim, Disney Channel, Cartoon Network.
TBS was the most watched network among adults 18-49 in primetime while Adult Swim was the top choice among demo viewers on a 24-hour basis, according to Nielsen.
