Fox News Channel is bolstering its international presence, having signed an
agreement with Eastern Europe's DigiTurk.
Beginning Feb. 10, Fox News will be available to nearly 600,000 subscribers
in Turkey and Cyprus via DigiTurk's digital-broadcasting platform, according to
vice president of international distribution Doug Murphy.
The deal lifts Fox News' international-subscriber base to some 15 million
located in 40 countries.
"We are very pleased to be part of DigiTurk's lineup and look forward to
delivering fair and balanced news to one of the most pivotal regions of the
world at this time," Murphy said in a prepared statement.
