Logo, MTV Networks’ new channel aimed at the gay community, has hired Kristin Frank as senior vice president of multiplatform distribution and marketing, officials said Tuesday.
A 10-year veteran of MTVN, in her new role, Frank will responsible for building the network’s multiplatform capabilities, products and services across all avenues of carriage, including television, wireless, radio and the Internet. She will also oversee all off-channel marketing.
Logo is set to debut June 30.
“As the market continues to grow and change, Logo is focused on giving our audience every opportunity to access our brand everywhere and in every way,” Logo general manager Lisa Sherman said in a prepared statement.
“Kristin’s knowledge of the affiliate marketplace and her strategic approach are terrific resources for us, and she has the background and insight to leverage Logo and its content beyond television and across all platforms,” Sherman added.
Frank previously served as regional VP for MTVN’s Northeast region, where she oversaw a team responsible for the distribution and marketing of 25 networks and 27 brands, as well as negotiating carriage deals with regional and national MSOs.
She also developed and implemented the MTVN affiliate-sales and marketing national distribution strategy for MTV: Music Television, MTV2, VH1, Country Music Television, Comedy Central, Logo and 10 digital-music channels.
