Fremantle Hires Holly Hines For Scripted Role

Holly Hines has signed on at FremantleMedia North America as vice president, scripted development, effective immediately. She reports to Tony Optican, senior vice president, scripted programming. In this newly created position, Hines will be involved in developing new scripted projects for the company.

FMNA continues to expand in the scripted arena, with its first hour-long scripted series, The Wedding Band, starring Brian Austin Green, Harold Perrineau and Melora Hardin, premiering later this year on TBS.

Hines comes to FremantleMedia from Fuse, where she was director of development and original series, where she oversaw all scripted programming. Prior to that, she served as manager of development for TLC, where she oversaw more than 100 hours of on-air programming, including Trading Spaces and American Chopper.

Before TLC, Hines served as manager of development at Bull's Eye Entertainment, where she was involved in the TV series Crash for Starz and Angela's Eyes for Lifetime. She also served as a development executive at Reveille, working on the scripted series The Office, Tudors, Ugly Betty and the unscripted series Nashville Star.

She is a graduate of University of California, Berkeley.
