FS West Scores Second-Best Angels Telecast

The Dodgers were 5-4 winners over the Angels in bottom of the ninth at Chavez Ravine Tuesday night, but Fox Sports West scored bigger on TV.

The RSN averaged a 4.6 rating, 261,000 households and 382,000 with Aug. 5 coverage of the game in the Los Angeles market, according to Nielsen data, making it the second-most-viewed Angeles telecast ever of FS West. Tuesday night's telecast only trails the 5.28 rating for Angels-Dodgers contest on June 22, 1998.

Tuesday’s mark displaced Monday night's telecast, which delivered a 4.0 rating, 228,000 households and 346,000 viewers, as FS West's second-best Halos game.

By way of contrast, SportsNet LA, the Dodgers RSN home, scored a 1.35 rating and 77,000 households in the LA DMA. SportsNet LA only has carriage on Time Warner Cable, which handles affiliate ad sales for the RSN, in Los Angeles.
