For the third year in a row, Fox will precede its coverage of the 78th Major League Baseball All-Star Game with FSN’s Best Damn Sports Show Period’s MLB All-Star Game Red Carpet Special.
The red-carpet show, which was created in 2005, celebrates the All-Stars’ arrival to the ballpark in which the game is being played. This year, the All-Star Game will be held in the home of the San Francisco Giants, AT&T Park.
Fox’s coverage of the game itself will begin at 8 p.m. (EST), and it will be called by Emmy Award-winning broadcasters Joe Buck and Tim McCarver. For Spanish-speaking fans, the game will be simulcast in Spanish on secondary-audio programming.
Fox will also stream a live Webcast of the All-Stars taking batting practice before the midsummer classic begins on Foxsports.com. Free-of-charge, online viewers will be able to watch the players take batting practice, on-field interviews, and analysis of the season’s first-half. The Webcast will be hosted by former Major Leaguer and ESPN analyst Harold Reynolds and Fox analyst Chris Rose.
