Kicking off a new Sunday-night block, Fox Sports Net will bow the second
season of its profile series, Beyond the Glory, next month.
Beyond the Glory will debut with a documentary about former heavyweight
champion Evander Holyfield March 10 at 8 p.m.
FSN will run 20 hours of the one-hour series this year, looking at such
contemporary athletes as Kobe Bryant, Vince Carter, Sammy Sosa, Gary Sheffield,
Brett Hull, Lennox Lewis, Oscar De La Hoya and former National Football League
greats Lawrence Taylor and Reggie White.
Actor D.B. Sweeney (Eight Men Out) is the show's new narrator.
The series -- which was also renewed for 21 additional originals for a third
season in 2003 -- is now produced by FSN under the direction of executive
producers Frank Sinton and Steven Michaels.
The Holyfield profile March 10 will anchor FSN's new Sunday-night block of
original programming, which also includes weekly boxing series Sunday Night
Fights from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and NASCAR Victory Lane: All Access, a
behind-the-scenes look at what a driver of the race-car circuit experiences each
weekend, at 9 p.m.
