Fuse Flexes Marketing Muscle

Fuse has bolstered its marketing department, adding two vice presidents.

The national music television network has named Bob Mitchell vice president of consumer and affiliate marketing, while appointing Marcelle Karp its vice president/creative director of creative services.

Mitchell, who joins from 4Kids Entertainment, where he headed up the consumer, affiliate and ad sales marketing teams, will lead Fuse marketing team with oversight for all consumer strategies, creative development, network branding initiatives and marketing programs for content distribution. His career has also included stops at Warner Bros., D.C. Comics, NBC and Sony Pictures Television and MTV Networks.

Karp now has responsibility for overseeing the creation of graphics, print, on-air and off-air promotion, as well as the conceptualization of set design for Fuse Original Studio productions. She will be instrumental in forming and maintaining the voice of the network, as well as shaping and reinforcing its brand, driving tune-in support of programming and digital media, and launching multiplatform image campaigns. Her nearly 20-year career includes stints at HBO and Lifetime.

“Bob and Marcelle are joining Fuse at a very instrumental time for the network as we solidify out place in the music television landscape,” said Fuse president Eric Sherman in a statement.
