Fuse Names Sal LoCurto to Programming Post

Fuse has named Sal LoCurto senior vice president of programming after the former Rave HD executive consulted at the Madison Square Garden-owned music network for a year.

LoCurto will be responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of original program development, acquisitions, programming, scheduling and production for Fuse, reporting to executive VP and general manager Gavin Harvey.

"We are thrilled to have industry veteran Sal LoCurto join Fuse in a permanent capacity," Harvey said in a release. "As a consultant for the past year, Sal has played a pivotal role in spearheading the network's strategic programming, goals and vision by developing and executing new original programming, live concerts and events. His strong experience in program development and packaging, specifically in the music space, make him the perfect fit for this position as we further define Fuse as the place to go for music on television."

Fuse said LoCurto will oversee the network's scheduling strategy, and the creation and production of original programming, including both documentaries and scripted series, as well as live concert events that align with Fuse's overall strategic goals. He also will direct production operations and will serve as executive producer for all original Fuse productions.

LoCurto was vice president, programming at Voom HD Networks' Rave HD, where he oversaw the programming, branding and positioning. He co-founded Wirebreak Entertainment, a digital entertainment company, and has held executive positions at Warner Bros. and Universal Studios. He began his career at MTV and went on to hold various positions at both MTV and VH1.
