Fuse Monday named Valerie Green as its new senior vice president of marketing, putting the former Cablevision executive in charge of the network’s strategic brand positioning, marketing endeavors and creative direction.
Most recently, Green served as head of marketing for Cablevision’s digital commerce and marketing division. During here eight-year run at Cablevision, Green also held senior marketing positions in multicultural advertising and as head of product strategy and brand positioning for Optimum Online.
“Valerie brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of both cable television and music to Fuse,” Fuse president Eric Sherman said in a statement. “As we move forward with more music driven programming, Valerie’s insight into our target demographic and her creativity at designing strategic marketing programs will be central to our continuous growth.”
Prior to her time with Cablevision, Green spent four years as vice president of marketing and network brand development for WE: Women’s Entertainment, where she was integral in launching the network as Romance Classics in 1997. In 2000, she worked closely with the programming, ad sales, public relations, and distribution teams to completely re-brand, re-position, re-name, and redesign the network as WE.
