Following on the heels of The Shield and soon-to-be launched
Lucky, FX is in production on a third scripted series based on a
cosmetic-surgery practice that will launch in June.

Nip/Tuck, a dramatic series starring Dylan Walsh and Julian McMahon, will
push the same content and language envelope that The Shield has done in
its first two seasons, according to FX spokesman John Solberg.

While the network steps up its original-programming efforts, Solberg said it
will continue to produce three to four original movies per year.

The network will bow 44 Minutes, chronicling a North Hollywood,
Calif., bank robbery, in June, while setting a summer production schedule for
Redemption, about the life of Los Angeles gang member Stan "Tookie"
Williams, starring Jamie Foxx.

The network's last original pic, The Pentagon Papers, generated a
disappointing 1.7 rating during its March 9 debut, according to Nielsen Media
Research.
