FX Brings 'The League' Back For Sophomore Season

 While the show will wrap its rookie run tonight, the clock will start fresh on a new season of FX fantasy football series The League next summer.

FX has ordered a 13-installment, second season of The League, which it will kick off late next summer, in time for the upcoming gridiron campaign.

The first-season concluder of The League, which is averaging 1.06 million watchers season to date, will premiere Dec. 10 at 10:30 p.m., after the season finale of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

FX will fortify its comedic roster in 2010, bowing the animated Archer on Jan. 14, before rolling out Louie, starring Louis C.K. in the spring.
