FX's comedy series The League has scored a fourth season pickup,
the network announced Tuesday.
The series, which follows the exploits of friends who compete in a fantasy football league, received a 13-episode order for its upcoming fourth season. Currently in its third season, the series is averaging 1.7 million total viewers and 1.5 million adults 18-49 for its premiere episodes, increases of 25% and 32% respectively compared to season two, according to network officials.
"The League continues to be one of our most successful comedy series both creatively and from a ratings standpoint," saidNick Grad, Executive Vice President of Original Programming, FX Networks in a statement. "(The League creators) Jackie and Jeff Schaffer, along with our terrific cast, are doing wonderful work each week to make one of the funniest shows on television and we're excited to order another season."
