FX Readies New Branding Campaign

FX plans to unveil a branding campaign for the News Corp.-owned cable network at a press conference next week in New York.

FX, home to edgy programming such as Nip/Tuck and The Shield, has always aggressively promoted its shows. But now it reportedly will be launching an initiative to promote the network itself.

John Landgraf, president and general manager of FX Networks, will unveil the branding campaign Dec. 11 at a breakfast at the News Corp. building that a number of the channel’s stars are slated to attend.

Attendees expected are: Michael Chiklis, star and producer of The Shield; Glenn Close, star of Damages; Denis Leary, star, creator and executive producer of Rescue Me; Todd Kessler and Glenn Kessler, creators and executive producers of Damages; and Jim Serpico, executive producer of RescueMe.
