FYI has announced the premiere date of its new competition series, Man Vs. Child: Chef Showdown. In the cooking show, which debuts Thursday, July 23 at 9 p.m., a crack squad of five up-and-coming child prodigies will be up against an expert, adult chef.
The kids range from ages 7 to 14.
Man Vs. Child will be broken up into three rounds of cooking, which will test the competitors’ abilities and mastery in the kitchen. The first two challenges will be tasted by a panel of experts, while the last one will feature a single blind taste-test by an acclaimed chef. The guest judges for the final round will include PBS chef Hubert Keller, Top Chef alums Mary Sue Milliken and Antonia Lofaso, and The Taste host Ludo Lefebvre.
Adam Gertler, who’s hosted Last Call Food Brawl and FX Movie Download will lend his MC abilities to the new series.
The wacky competition series is produced by Kinetic Content.
