Great American Country will air encore presentations of the 40th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards under terms of a deal the network reached with dick clark productions.
The ACM Awards aired live from Las Vegas on CBS Tuesday night.
The Scripps Networks-owned service will air its first rebroadcast Tuesday, June 7 at 8 p.m. (EST/PST), with additional dates set for September and October.
“The annual Academy of Country Music Awards are very popular among country-music fans and well-respected by the artists and labels, so securing the reair rights is significant for GAC,” vice president of programming Sarah Trahern said in a prepared statement.
“It fits perfectly with our mission to be the leaders in country-music television programming," she added. "We expect our encore presentations to draw a sizable audience of viewers who missed the CBS broadcast, or who were so entertained that they want to watch it again."
