Galavisión will bow a new weekday morning show on Aug. 22.
Hosted by popular Spanish-language television personality Esteban Arce, alongside Adriana Riveramelo and José Ramón San Cristóbal, Matutino Express will present the day's breaking political, economic, sports, entertainment and weather news. Bowing at 10 a.m. (ET/PT), the three-hour show aspires to provide insightful commentary, as well as doses of humor.
Arce brings more than two decades of experience in television and radio to Univision Communications' cable network. Having begun his career on the popular show El Calabozo (The Dungeon), alongside famous radio and television host Jorge Van Rankin, he has since hosted numerous comedy, entertainment and sports programs in Mexico and the U.S., as well as international sporting events including the World Cups of 1994, 1998 and 2002, and the Athens Olympics in 2004.
Arce also served as creative advisor for Univision Network's Entertainment division and led the brand and image development for local Televisa television affiliates. He then became the creative director for Televisa radio stations WFM and VOXFM and hosted his own radio news talk show El Loco Mundo de Esteban Arce (The Crazy World of Esteban Arce) on Radio 13 Mexico.
Riveramelo, has hosted and reported on countless entertainment shows, including Hoy Sábados (Saturday Today), Endemol-produced Dilo Dilo VIP (Say it, Say it VIP) and El Club (The Club), with TV host Ernesto Laguardia.In addition to her longstanding career as a television reporter and host, Riveramelo has also served as the master of ceremony of award shows, including Los Heraldos, Premios Eres, Teletón, Premios Furia Musical and Premios and TVyNovelas, among others.
San Cristóbal, widely known as "El Estaca," is a renowned television and radio host, who will bring energy and commentary to Matutino Express. He began his career on television as host of Planeta 3 a Chaleco (Planet 3 by Force) in 2004, and participated in the hit reality competition Big Brother VIP. San Cristóbal also hosted the online show LaJugada.com (ThePlay.com), during last year's World Cup. A
side from his role as co-host of Matutino Express, he also hosts Televisa's weekend entertainment show Resbalón (Slip), alongside Eduardo Videgaray.
