Galvin to Consult After Motorola Departure

Motorola Inc. chairman and chief executive Christopher Galvin will remain as a consultant for two years after he steps down, which will occur when a successor is named, Reuters reported.

Galvin said in September that he was resigning due to disagreements over strategy with the company’s board.

He had been chief executive since January 1997 and chairman since June 1999.
