GameTap Picks Artist of the Month

Turner Broadcasting System’s GameTap broadband network announced an Artist of the Month campaign to showcase its original music programming.

Launching this month, the campaign will run for the first time both inside and outside of the subscription service, offering 30 days of programming -- one new show each week -- to include live performances, music videos, top-10 lists and interviews.

Among the shows: Quick Hit, promising “everything you ever wanted to know about your favorite artist in 60 seconds”; GameTap Tracks, offering exclusive live performances; Raw Tape, an uncut interview show; and audio and video fare.

“Artists are featured in our array of exclusive and original shows and, in return, they give our audience content that can't be found anywhere else, on TV or on broadband,” GameTap vice president of content Ricardo Sanchez said in a prepared statement.
