GCI, Aruba Link Up on WiFi

GCI said it has launched a managed WiFi across the Pacific Northwest through a partnership with Aruba Networks, a unit of HP

GCI’s said its managed WiFi service offers clients a turnkey solution for a monthly fee that covers physical assessment, design, equipment procurement, installation, testing, monitoring and lifecycle replacement of hardware. To support the service and the WiFi expansion, GCI said it has added engineering, sales, technical and support staff in Spokane, Seattle and Portland.

“This partnership continues to strengthen GCI’s position in the Pacific Northwest. We know our customers want reliable, secure Wi-Fi they don’t have to worry about and we are delivering on this,” said Martin Cary, vice president of managed broadband Services at GCI. “We have the experience and expertise to deliver a complete and reliable solution and the resources to support our customers from start to finish.”

GCI already offers a range of services in the Pacific Northwest region, including managed network services, secure Internet access, managed video conferencing and network security.
