General Bandwidth Inc. will announce an additional $18 million in funding Tuesday, led by Oak Investment Partners.
A total of 12 other companies participated, including Texas Instruments Inc. and Siemens Venture Capital.
General Bandwidth supplies its “G6” universal media-gateway platform to broadband providers offering voice-over-Internet-protocol service. The company said it has deployed 150 switches across 40 service providers.
The company also appointed Michael T. Flynn to its board of directors and named a six-member technical-advisory committee.
