Gentlemen, Start Your HDNet

HDNet will air 15 live high-definition races from the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing’s Grand National Division, the network said Monday.

The Grand National Division is a tier of NASCAR’s regional racing series, which includes the Busch North Series and West Series.

HDNet will produce and broadcast the package in 1080i (interlaced) HDTV.

The network’s deal with NASCAR covers a total of 18 races this year, 20 in 2005 and 22 in 2006.

The first wave of the HD checkered flag will be Sunday, April 25, with the Busch North Series race from Lee USA Speedway in New Hampshire.
