German Op Creates a Giant

Kabel Deutschland GmbH, Germany’s largest MSO, is buying three of its rivals and creating one of the largest cable companies in Europe, AP reported.

Kabel Deutschland will acquire Ish, KabelBW and iesy for 2.7 billion euros ($3.3 billion), according to AP.

The deal is subject to approval by antitrust regulators.

Kabel Deutschland already has 10 million customers, and the acquisitions would add another 7 million-plus, AP said.
