General Fiber Communications Inc. said Tuesday that it has acquired JAC Cable Inc.
JAC is an installation and underground-construction company based in Foxboro, Mass., serving southern Massachusetts and Connecticut.
GFC currently has 60 facilities throughout the United States and an employee-based field force of 1,800. The addition of JAC boosts its New England presence to seven offices.
“GFC’s 2004 acquisition strategy serves to strengthen our nationwide presence, positioning GFC in the markets where our MSO customers need us,” executive vice president of business development Joe McGinley said in a prepared statement.
