Gibbs Joins BCI To Head Up Business Services

BCI Broadband has hired John Gibbs to the post of senior vice president- business services, where he will report to BCI president and CEO Jeffrey DeMond.

Gibbs previously served as regional VP of commercial sales at Cablevision’s Optimum West division, which was comprised of the former Bresnan Communications systems that were recently sold to Charter Communications.  

Gibbs is also late of Bresnan, and previously  held management slots at Frontier Communications and Charter.

BCI, founded last year by former Bresnan execs DeMond and Andrew Kober along with private equity firm BBH Capital Partners, closed its acquisition of James Cable earlier this month, and sealed up its purchase of Allegiance Communications in April.  BCI currently owns systems in Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Georgia and Wyoming passing more than 300,000 homes.
