The premiere of the sixth season of Girls Next Door, the debut of Leave It To Lamas and the network homecoming of theatrical Knocked Up netted strong performances for E! Sunday night.
The 10:30 p.m.season premiere of The Girls Next Door -- which showcased a new cast to replace the departing Kendra Wilkinson and Holly Madison -- became the highest-rated and most-watched season premiere in the show's history, delivering 2.4 million viewers, according to Nielsen data.
It was followed by almost 2 million watchers for the launch of Leave It To Lamas at 11 p.m., a performance that represented triple digit gains for the Comcast-owned network in the time period.
Meanwhile, the network premiere of Judd Apatow's Knocked Up, starring Katherine Heigl as a preggers E! staffer, weighed in as the highest-rated and most-watched edition of the network's "Movies We Love" franchise, delivering just over 1.6 million viewers and a 1.4 household rating from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
