Glenn Scores FSS, SportSouth Analyst Post

Fox Sports South and SportSouth Thursday said former Atlanta Hawk and 10-year NBA veteran Mike Glenn will take over the analyst position for the networks’ Hawks LIVE postgame show this season.

Network officials said Glenn and Hawks LIVE host Jerome Jurenovich will provide expanded postgame coverage following all 75 Hawks telecasts on Fox Sports South and SportSouth during the 2008-09 NBA season. Glenn replaces Dominique Wilkins, who begins his first season as the Fox Sports South and SportSouth Hawks game analyst. http://www.multichannel.com/article/CA6600707.html

“Mike Glenn—or ‘The Stinger’ as he was known in his NBA days—brings a wealth of television experience and a passion for the game of basketball to his new role at Fox Sports South and SportSouth,” said Jeff Genthner, senior vice president and general manager of Fox Sports South and SportSouth, in a statement. “Having played 10 seasons in the NBA, Mike has great perspective and insight to share with our Hawks LIVE audience.”

Fox Sports South and SportSouth will televise Hawks LIVE on location from Philips Arena after each home game. For away game telecasts, Hawks LIVE will originate from Fox Sport South and SportSouth’s Atlanta-based studio. Hawks LIVE coverage begins on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 6:30 p.m. ET on SportSouth followed at 7 p.m. ET by the Hawks game against the Orlando Magic.

Fox Sports South and SportSouth will televise a package of 75 Atlanta Hawks games during the 2008-09 NBA season, with 30 games slated for Fox Sports South and 45 scheduled for SportSouth.
