GlobeCast has appointed Lisa Coelho acting CEO of GlobeCast America.
Coelho, who had been serving as vice president of GlobeCast WorldTV, is stepping in for CEO Daivd Justin, who has left to pursue other interests. She will be based in New York.
That leaves her with the tasks of further strengthening the company's sales and technical expertise in the Americas, while continuing its improvement of service quality for the company's clients. Coelhoe will also be spearheading the execution of an impending over-the-top television offer in the United States.
"David Justin successfully planted the seeds for new lines of business throughout the Americas while weathering the difficult economic climate in the broadcast world, said GlobeCast chairman and CEO Olivier Barberot in announcing the change. "I have now given Lisa Coelho a mission over the next few months to increase the level of development at GlobeCast America so that it can fully realize its ambitions as a media management company in this key region."
Previously vice president of GlobeCast WorldTV, Coelho has held senior management positions at GlobeCast since 2003, and prior to that, as one of the company's clients in her role as at a leading Portuguese broadcaster, where she drove consumer marketing and channel development for the network's U.S. distribution.
