The Golf Channel has signed the scorecard on the cast of the next season of its popular reality competition show, The Big Break.
The Comcast Corp.-owned service has chosen 11 contestants from more than 4,000 hopefuls who applied via the network’s Web site (www.thegolfchannel.com). Auditions for golf skills and personality were held across the country.
Premiering Feb. 7, The Big Break V: Hawaii will play out on Oahu’s North Shore, where the winning contestant will earn a chance to play on the LPGA tour.
In a new twist with this second distaff version of the show, the 11 golfers will have to play their way onto the show, as one will be sent home before having a chance to unpack her bags.
